Austin Murphy

Austin Murphy has a diverse work experience in the fields of cybersecurity and network engineering. Austin started their career as a Network Engineer at the Air Force Communications Agency in 2005 and worked there until 2008. Austin then joined the United States Air Force as a Network Attack Tactics Development Officer from 2008 to 2010. After that, they moved to Ernst & Young and worked as a Manager in the Advanced Security Center from 2010 to 2014. Since 2014, Austin Murphy has been associated with CrowdStrike, where they held various roles including Director of Incident Response Services and currently serves as the Vice President of Managed Services.

Austin Murphy attended the University of St. Thomas from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Quantitative Methods/Computer Science. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2014, the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in 2013, and the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC in 2008.
