Colin McCambridge

Senior Principal Software Engineer at CrowdStrike

Colin McCambridge has a strong background in software engineering and firmware development. Colin started their career as an Architecture Intern at NVIDIA in 2007. Colin then joined Microsoft in 2008 as a Software Development Engineer, where they worked on debugging, root cause analysis, and implementing fixes for customer-reported issues in the Windows 7 operating system. Colin also contributed to the design and implementation of new features for Windows 8.

In 2012, Colin joined HGST, a Western Digital company, as a Firmware Engineer II. Colin worked on the development of a solid-state storage product, focusing on embedded firmware code and managing storage protocols. Colin also gained experience in low-level debugging and system architecture with ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-R series CPU cores.

In 2016, Colin joined CrowdStrike as a Sr. Software Engineer II. Colin quickly advanced to Principal Software Engineer in 2018 and currently holds the position of Senior Principal Software Engineer. At CrowdStrike, Colin is involved in developing and maintaining software solutions.

Throughout their career, Colin has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, firmware development, debugging, system architecture, and storage protocols.

Colin McCambridge attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science.
