Daniel Chipiristeanu

Daniel Chipiristeanu is the Director of Threat Research at CrowdStrike, where they have held various positions including Sr. Manager of Threat Research and previously Manager of Security Response from 2017 to 2020. Before joining CrowdStrike, Daniel worked as a Senior Malware Researcher at BitDefender from 2007 to 2011 and spent time as a Security Research Lead and Anti-Virus Researcher at Microsoft from 2016 to 2017. Daniel obtained a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Information Security from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași, where they studied from 2006 to 2011, and attended "G. Moisil" High School, earning a degree in Computer Science between 2002 and 2006.
