Jacob Taylor

Jacob Taylor is an experienced detection engineer specializing in cybersecurity, currently working at CrowdStrike as a Detection Engineer within the Falcon Complete team since August 2025. Prior to this role, Jacob held positions at ReliaQuest from January 2023 to August 2025, initially as a Threat Detection Engineer - Tier 1 and later as a Threat Detection Engineer, focusing on the development and implementation of security monitoring rules across various SIEM and EDR technologies. Additional experiences include a Cyber Security Internship at Lockheed Martin, where Jacob secured systems and conducted log analysis, and participation in the New Skills for a New Fight program at the Florida Center for Cybersecurity. Jacob served in the US Army as an Infantry Soldier from April 2013 to April 2019, showcasing strong teamwork and communication skills. Jacob holds a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity from the University of South Florida, completed in December 2022.
