Kai Frost

Kai Frost has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and telecommunications industry. They began their career at ihug in 1997 as a Network Engineer before moving on to iiNet, where they held roles such as IP Voice Manager and Senior Content Engineer. At iiNet, they played a key role in the development and deployment of the "Fetch TV" subscription television offering. After iiNet, they joined TPG Telecom as the Voice Operations Manager, leading operations and integrations for the voice network. They then transitioned to Kinetic IT, where they worked as a Senior Systems Security Engineer, Security Technical Specialist, and Security Operation Center Technical Manager. Currently, they are employed at CrowdStrike as a Senior Security Analyst and will be transitioning to the role of Principal Security Analyst in 2023. Throughout their career, Kai Frost has demonstrated expertise in network design, project management, team leadership, and technical strategy.

Kai Frost completed a Graduate Certificate in Systems and Networking from Charles Sturt University in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry from the University of Canterbury in the years 1994-1997. Kai also attended Riccarton High School from 1990-1993. In addition to their formal education, Kai obtained certifications from the SANS Institute, including being a member of the GIAC Advisory Board and achieving the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) certification in May 2022.
