Rachel Thorner

Rachel Thorner is a Senior Security Researcher at CrowdStrike, where they have been contributing since 2025. Previously, they were the Founder of Troika Advisory, specializing in business intelligence for Russia and the former Soviet states from 2021 to 2025. Rachel has held various roles, including Team Lead at Sqope S.A. and Program Manager for the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. They also have experience as a contractor providing investigative research services and have served in the Moscow bureau for The New York Times. Rachel studied Russian and Hebrew Language Studies at the Dorot Fellowship and earned a BA in History with a focus on Russian Studies from New York University.
