Michael Hirsch

Michael Hirsch is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in managing state income and franchise tax audits and leading audit teams. Currently serving as Managing Director and Southeast SALT Income/Franchise Practice Leader at Crowe since November 2023, Michael previously held the position of Managing Director at BDO USA from December 2021 to November 2023 and Senior Manager of Tax Services at Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs from January 2017 to November 2021. Prior experience includes senior management roles at Deloitte and Tyco International, with a history of overseeing tax consulting practices, managing complex projects, and conducting extensive tax research and training. Michael holds an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law and a JD from the University of Florida, along with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Management from the University of Florida.
