Robert J. Johnson

Robert J. Johnson has extensive experience in state and local taxation, having held prominent positions in leading firms. From December 1990 to December 1997, Robert served as a Tax Manager at Ernst & Young. Subsequently, Robert worked at Deloitte as a Tax Director, where significant contributions included developing a state tax restructuring practice in Southern California, followed by a role as Partner and Managing Director at RSM US LLP from November 2006 to April 2011. At KPMG US, Robert held the position of Managing Director, State and Local Tax from May 2011 to November 2015. Since March 2016, Robert has been a Partner at Crowe, leading the west region state and local tax practice. Additionally, Robert has been an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Northridge since September 2008, contributing to the development of the university's master of taxation program while serving on the Tseng College Advisory Board. Robert holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University-San Bernardino.
