Bill Giles

Bill Giles has extensive experience in marine engineering and compliance, currently serving as Manager of Engineering Compliance at Crowley Maritime since May 2012, following a career as Port Engineer in the ARC Fleet and other roles. Prior experience includes positions at Sea Star Line and Maersk Line as a Port Engineer and Chief Engineer, respectively. Bill Giles has dedicated over a decade to leadership roles in engineering, beginning with responsibilities as Chief Engineer at AMSEA and Bay Ship Management, where foundational expertise was developed in various engineering ranks. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Ocean Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering from SUNY Maritime College.
