Mike McGovern is an accomplished marine engineering professional with extensive experience in the maritime industry. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Crowley since December 2013, Mike oversees the engineering operations for Crowley Tug and Barge Service, as well as offshore and Puerto Rican services. Prior to this role, Mike held various engineering positions, including Engineering Manager at T Solutions and Port Engineer with V Ships Leisure USA and Majestic America Line, focusing on small cruise ships in the Pacific Northwest. Mike began the career as Chief Engineer aboard the Empress of the North and progressed from First Engineer to Assistant Engineer with American West Steamboat Company and Weeks Marine, respectively. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, earned between 1999 and 2003.
