Mark Smith

Mark Smith is a seasoned professional in network automation and technical operations with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Director of Network Automation & Platforms at Crown Castle since 2016, Mark oversees the operations and implementation of the national "Lit" network and leads initiatives in next-generation services, including low latency mobile edge computing. Prior to Crown Castle, Mark held the position of Vice President of Technical Operations at Sunesys, where responsibilities included developing strategies for revenue growth across various sectors. Mark's earlier roles at Unisys encompassed network security engineering and operations center responsibilities, contributing to a strong technical foundation. Mark holds an MBA in Global Executive Leadership from Delaware Valley University and has continued education at MIT Sloan School of Management.
