Gray Heppner

Gray Heppner, MD, FACP, FASTMH, FRGS has a diverse and extensive work experience. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer for Quigley BioPharma, LLC, a position they started in September 2022. Prior to this role, they held the same position at Crozet BioPharma LLC starting from January 2017. In addition, they have been a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at LumaCyte since January 2017.

Dr. Heppner has also been actively involved in various organizations and government agencies. Gray has been a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations since June 2010. Dr. Heppner's career includes their role as Deputy Commander at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research from July 2008 to February 2011. In this position, they were responsible for key operations in research and development for infectious diseases, biological defense, chemical defense, and military operational medicine.

Gray Heppner, MD, FACP, FASTMH, FRGS completed their HS Diploma at Virginia Episcopal School in 1974. Gray then pursued a B.A. in German Literature & Chemistry at the University of Virginia from 1974 to 1978. Gray went on to earn their M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine from 1979 to 1983. Gray then completed their Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School from 1983 to 1986. Finally, they pursued a Fellow in Geographic Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 1988 to 1990, specializing in Infectious Diseases.
