Ben Carstein is an accomplished commodity analyst with extensive experience in macroeconomics and strategy. They served as an economist for the Department of Treasury and Finance in Victoria from 2004 to 2007 and later held several key roles at Tata Steel and Rio Tinto, including UK & International Economist and Principal Analyst. Most recently, Ben was the Analysis Lead for steel raw materials and coal at CRU from 2019 to 2022. Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics, along with an Honours Degree in Economics, both from Monash University.
