Benjamin Blattberg has over 17 years of work experience. Benjamin began their career in 2004 as a Lecturer and Instructor at the University of Chicago, and also served as a Digital Imaging Technician at the Regenstein Library. In 2010, they became a Content Writer for Shmoop. Two years later, they joined Kirkus Media as a Book Reviewer. In 2014, they were hired as a Developer at Clutch Analytics. In 2017, they became a Software Developer at ObjectRocket - a Rackspace company, where they architected a multi-cloud alerting and monitoring system for legacy database instances, collaborated with a team to setup and manage AWS resources, designed and deployed GoBuffalo-based API controlplane and models, and contributed to open-source exporters. In 2021, they joined Crunchy Data as a Senior Software Engineer.

Benjamin Blattberg received their Master of Arts (M.A.) in English from the University of Chicago between 2003 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in Literature from Bard College between 1997 and 2001. In 2014, they completed an Accelerated Learning Program in Web Development at MakerSquare. Between 2010 and 2012, they attended Second City to study Improvisation and Comedy Writing.
