John Leonhardt has held various roles throughout their career. John started their career in 1988 as a Financial Analyst in Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse First Boston, where they analyzed and executed acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings. From 1990 to 1993, they worked as the Director of Creative and Business Affairs at Universal Entertainment. At Sega of America, Inc., where they worked from 1993 to 1997 as the Director of Licensing, they were responsible for identifying, reviewing, and acquiring rights to entertainment, sports, and branded properties. From 1997 to 1998, they served as the Vice President of MicroProse, overseeing worldwide business development and licensing. John then founded and served as the President of Panic Entertainment Group from 1998 to 2007. Since 2007, they have been the President of Dimensional Branding Group, where they oversee the IP portfolio of the company. John currently holds the role of Head of Consumer Products at Crunchyroll since November 2018.

John Leonhardt attended Anchorage Elementary from 1970 to 1976. John then went on to Venice Senior High School from 1980 to 1983. After graduating from high school, John enrolled at UCLA and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics/Business from 1983 to 1987.
