Shunsuke Masuda

Shunsuke Masuda has over 20 years of work experience. Shunsuke began their career in 2000 as a Software Engineer at AGREX. In 2003, they joined EC-One (later acquired by ULSYSTEMS) as a Software Engineer, where they led a team of 6 developers to develop and maintain JGB dealing system, as well as a lead developer of FIX gateway system. In 2006, they became an Associate at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where they conducted design and development of a portfolio management system with optimization by MSCIBarra or APT model, with order generation capability. In 2010, they joined Goldman Sachs as a Vice President, where they worked as an IT engineer closely with high demand hedge fund portfolio managers and traders, analyzing their requirements, building and delivering softwares, as well as maintaining and supporting them. Shunsuke was also responsible for communication and coordination with stakeholders, as well as full SDLC coverage. In 2018, they became Co-Founder of pafin (formerly Cryptact).

Shunsuke Masuda obtained their MBA in Finance and General from Waseda University between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained an M.Eng in Software Engineering from Shinshu University between 2005 and 2007. Shunsuke also attended Kyoto University, but did not complete their degree. In addition, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from Coursera Course Certificates in July 2016.
