John Hillen

The Honorable Dr. John Hillen is a distinguished Board Chairman, author, and professor, currently serving as a Distinguished Lecturing Fellow and Executive-in-Residence at Duke University’s Center for Politics. Previously, they taught at Hampden-Sydney College and George Mason University, where they earned multiple teaching awards. Dr. Hillen authored the international best-seller "The Strategy Dialogues" and co-authored "What Happens Now: Reinvent Yourself As a Leader Before Your Business Outruns You," recognized as one of the top 30 business books of 2018. With extensive experience as a military officer and government official, including serving as the Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs, they have contributed to various academic and national security advisory boards. Dr. Hillen holds multiple advanced degrees, including a doctorate in international relations from Oxford University.
