Yonatan Winetraub

Co-Founder at Cryptosat

Yonatan Winetraub is a Co-Founder of SpaceIL, a company that crash landed the first private mission to the moon in April 2019 and is currently working on a follow-up mission. Yonatan is also a Co-Founder of Cryptosat since 2020. Yonatan has experience as a Staff System Engineer & Technical Lead, Weather at Waymo, where they led system engineering for sensing and perception, setting strategies for driverless releases in weather. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Algorithms Engineer / Research at Samsung Electronics from 2013 to 2014.

Yonatan Winetraub pursued their education in a variety of academic institutions. Yonatan began their educational journey in 2009 by obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering and Neuroscience from Tel Aviv University. Later that year, they attended the International Space University where they participated in the Space Studies Program at NASA Ames. In 2014, Winetraub enrolled at Stanford University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biophysics in 2021. Additionally, in 2016, they briefly attended the Ignite Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
