Gary Snethen

CTO at Crystal Dynamics

Gary Snethen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Gary started their career at Interactive Resources, Inc. in 1994 as a Software Engineer and later became the Manager of New Products. Gary then worked at Van Koevering Company as the Director of Software Engineering from 1995 to 1997. Gary joined Digital Video Art, Inc. in 1998 and served as a Senior Software Engineer and Consultant until 2000. Gary then moved on to Sun Microsystems as a Contractor/Consultant from 1999 to 2002. In 2000, they joined Worldgate Communications, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead. From 2002 onwards, Gary has been associated with Crystal Dynamics, where they started as a Legacy of Kain: Defiance - Senior Programmer. Gary later held various roles, including Tomb Raider Legend - Player Lead Programmer, Lead Animation/Physics Programmer, and Lead Engine Programmer. Currently, Gary Snethen holds the position of CTO at Crystal Dynamics, where they are responsible for optimizing and advancing technology development throughout the organization.

Gary Snethen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University from 1988 to 2002. Gary then pursued further education at Iowa State University from 2002 to 2004, undertaking graduate studies in Computer Engineering and Business Administrative Science.
