Alan Weiss has worked in a variety of roles over the past 33 years. From 1988 to 1990, they worked as a Deutsche mark trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert. From 1990 to 1992, they worked as a Senior Trader at AIG. From 1992 to 1994, they worked as a Senior Currency Trader at Fleet Bank. From 1994 to 1996, they worked as a Part Owner at SOES Trading. From 1996 to 2000, they worked as a CFO and cfo at Whitehouse Labs. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Partner at US Cryotherapy. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Part Owner at Clover Oil and Gas. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Chief Financial Officer at Leak Detection Associates, where they were responsible for the manufacture of high sensitivity leak detection systems for the pharmaceutical, medical device and food industries.

Alan Weiss received their MBA from the University of Chicago in 1986, majoring in Economics. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Brandeis University in 1984.
