Benjamin Hume

Director, Computational Biology

Benjamin Hume is the Director of Computational Biology at CS Genetics, where they lead the development of informatics pipelines and tools for single-cell RNA sequencing. Previously, they held positions as a Bioinformatician at the University of Konstanz and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at KAUST and the University of Southampton. Benjamin earned a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography, a Master's degree in Aquatic Biology and Resource Management, and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southampton. They have contributed significantly to research in coral and algal ecology and have authored numerous publications in the field.
