SVP, Logistics at C&S Wholesale Grocers

Ron Wright is the Senior Vice President of Logistics at C&S Wholesale Grocers. Ron has been with the company for over 11 years, and in that time, they have overseen the transportation operations for a large, complex network. Ron is responsible for a $1B budget and 1,500 employees.

Ron has successfully restructured numerous sub-functions of the department, built key strategic pillars for assets, systems, service, and communication, and converted the fleet asset and maintenance program to a perpetual replacement strategy. Ron has also revamped resources to service the NYC market, reducing spend while increasing on-time delivery by a point. In addition, they successfully implemented the first ever freight visibility technology at C&S (Fourkites) for all tendered loads.

Ron is currently in the process of overhauling the transportation management system(s) for all key transportation functions. Ron has built a highly capable, dedicated team to oversee the vendor assessment, selection, and extensive change management requirements. Ron is also engaged in all strategic customer initiatives, including contract negotiations and major projects.

Ron Wright has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an M.B.A. in Management of Operations and Technology from Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business, and a P.G. in Post Graduate from Northfield Mount Hermon.

Their manager is Bob Palmer, CEO. They are on a team with Andrew Connell - SVP, Center Store Procurement, Miriam Ort - CHRO, and Sudhakar Lingineni - CIO.
