David Zimmerman

David Zimmerman has extensive experience in standards development and accreditation, having spent over four decades with CSA Group, where David currently serves as a Standards Policy and Accreditation Advisor on a part-time basis following official retirement. Throughout his career at CSA, David held key roles, including Manager of Accreditation, where oversight of policies related to standards development was a primary responsibility, and Project Manager for standards development in areas such as quality management and healthcare. Additionally, David managed client services and administration departments, ensuring accurate certification records. Prior to CSA, David worked as Secretary for ISO Technical Committee 176 in Geneva, coordinating efforts related to the ISO 9000 series of quality management standards. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from York University.
