Francois Bouffard

Francois Bouffard is an Associate Professor and William Dawson Scholar at McGill University, where they focus on research related to power system economics, reliability, control, and optimization. They received both their BEng (Honours) and PhD in electrical engineering from McGill University in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Bouffard has previously served as a Lecturer at the University of Manchester and held various advisory roles, including at BrainBox AI and the CSA Group. Additionally, they are a senior member of the IEEE and contribute to the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and the Systems Economics Subcommittee of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
