K. Arun Kumar

K. Arun Kumar, MSc, P.Eng. has extensive experience in civil engineering and structural analysis, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently involved with CSA Group as a Member of the Technical Committee CSA W47.1 since July 2014, K. Arun Kumar previously held positions such as Advisor Engineering Specifications and Staff Civil Engineer at Cenovus Energy, where responsibilities included managing engineering specifications for thermal recovery and oil & gas facilities. Additional roles encompass Project Engineer and Civil-Structural Lead at SNC Lavalin for significant projects like Petro-Canada Fort Hills and CNRL Horizon, as well as structural specialist work at Vista Projects, and earlier positions emphasizing QA/QC inspection and ship surveying. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Bangalore University.
