Muhammad Irfan Bashir

Muhammad Irfan Bashir is a seasoned professional in cyber security and risk management, currently serving as the Senior Manager of the Cyber Risk Advisory Services Unit at the Ontario Government since January 2018. With expertise in leading threat risk assessments and developing cyber risk mitigation strategies, Muhammad also provides advisory services and training on enterprise-wide cyber security practices. Previous roles include Senior Specialist in Risk and Compliance at Emirates Global Aluminium, where responsibilities encompassed managing Information Security Governance and compliance projects, and various positions involving project leadership and systems analysis across multiple organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, along with additional credentials in leadership and information technology. Additionally, Muhammad volunteers as a Cyber Security Advisor for the CSA Group, focusing on security controls for ICT in building environments.
