Stephen Brown has extensive experience in innovation and technology management, currently serving as Director of Innovation and Director of Technologies at CSA Group since April 2002. In this role, Stephen leads cross-functional teams in research and analysis to guide strategic decisions for products and services, focusing on new business opportunities in emerging and disruptive technologies. Prior to this, Stephen worked as Director of Energy, Codes and Standards for the Electrical Sector at Canadian Standards Association from June 2005 to August 2012, where responsibilities included developing and implementing installation codes and product standards for safety and renewable technologies. Stephen holds an MBA in International Finance and Marketing from Concordia University, completed between 1974 and 1981.
