Steve Buxton

Steve Buxton was appointed Commercial Vice President, Healthcare on October 1, 2022. In this role, Steve is responsible for leading and developing CSA Group’s commercial market sector strategies and anticipating industry and market developments and activities. He is accountable for determining strategic business opportunities for the Healthcare business and developing effective sales and marketing plans that reflect customer needs.

Steve has over 18 years of experience in establishing and commercializing healthcare assessment and certification businesses within the UK, European Union, and Asia-Pacific regions. He has held senior management positions at UL, Intertek, and TÜV Rheinland, where he was responsible for global sales, marketing and delivery teams. A biochemist by training, Steve has successfully designed and developed novel diagnostic products for major international players, including AkzoNobel and Gist-Brocades, set up pilot and full-scale manufacturing capabilities for numerous In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) organizations, and developed business management systems capable of supporting global healthcare regulatory requirements.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Biology from the University of London and has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) since 1988.
