Oliver Schmid

Oliver Schmid is currently a Product Owner and Senior Software Engineer/Architect at CSCS since February 2024. Prior to this role, Oliver served as the Knowledge Graph Product Owner and Senior Software Engineer at EBRAINS from June 2021 to February 2024, where responsibilities included product ownership, requirements engineering, and the development of the EBRAINS Knowledge Graph as part of the Human Brain Project. Oliver's experience also includes serving as the Product Owner/Senior Software Engineer for the HBP Neuroinformatics Platform at EPFL from October 2017 to May 2021, co-founding and acting as CTO at Break the Box GmbH, and holding various roles in project and software engineering at organizations such as BLS AG and Puzzle ITC. Oliver holds a PhD in Computer Science, an MA in Information Management, and a BSc in Educational Sciences from Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg.
