David Coe

David Coe serves as Associate General Counsel at DISCO, overseeing intellectual property and commercial contracting in a dynamic legal tech environment since March 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Senior IP Counsel at CBRE, where David was the first IP attorney, responsible for all facets of the IP practice and leading initiatives such as the implementation of an open source policy and management of the global trademark portfolio. Additional roles include Senior Counsel positions at Siemens PLM Software and the American Bureau of Shipping, where responsibilities involved guiding legal issues related to SaaS business models and IP in M&A transactions, respectively. David’s legal career began at Jones Day in the intellectual property practice group, following early experiences in various legal internships and clerking roles. David holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
