Meagan Nelson

Meagan Nelson has a diverse work experience across multiple industries and roles. Meagan started their career in 2015 as a Teacher Resident at IDEA Public Schools. In 2016, they joined Teach For America as a Corps Member and also worked as a Kindergarten Teacher at Alpha Public Schools during the same period.

In 2019, Meagan transitioned into the recruiting field, starting as a Hiring Specialist at Indeed.com. Meagan then moved on to Orchard, where they worked as a Recruiter from September 2019 to December 2020, and later as a Sales Recruiter from December 2020 to September 2021.

After Orchard, Meagan joined Lunchbox as a Talent Acquisition Manager, focusing on GTM & Engineering, from September 2021 to June 2022. Then, they joined DISCO in February 2024 as a Senior Recruiter and eventually took on the role of Lead Recruiter.

Meagan Nelson earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Political Science, and Criminal Justice from Lamar University in 2011. Meagan then went on to complete a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Studies with a focus on Elementary Special Education at The Johns Hopkins University from 2016 to 2018. In 2014, they obtained a Teacher Certificate EC-6 from the Texas Education Agency.
