Lauren Velez

Lauren Velez is currently the Director of the Metro Team at CSH, where they lead various initiatives and programs across New York City and beyond. Previously, they served as Director of Services at Avalon Housing from 2012 to 2021, overseeing supportive housing teams and managing relationships with partner agencies. Early in their career, Lauren worked as an Investigative Caseworker for Child Protective Services at the Suffolk County Department of Social Services from 2008 to 2011. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Joseph's University and St. Joseph's College, both earned in 2008.
