Director, California State Policy at CSH, the Source for Housing Solutions

Sharon Rapport, an experienced policy advocate, serves as the Director of California State Policy for the Corporation for Supportive Housing since November 2006, where significant accomplishments include the passage of landmark legislation aimed at preventing and ending homelessness in California. Notable initiatives led by Sharon include the Medi-Cal Health Homes Program, Proposition 41 for homeless veterans, Housing First legislation, the Housing for a Healthy California Program, and the Bringing Families Home program. Prior experience includes a fellowship with US Senator Jack Reed focused on housing and judiciary issues, where Sharon organized hearings and advanced key legislation, as well as a tenure as Hearing Office Director at the West LA Office of Disability Adjudication Review, managing transitions and fostering community collaboration. Educational background includes a Master of Arts in Creative Non-Fiction from Antioch University-Los Angeles, a Doctor of Law from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations from UCLA.
