Cefe Lopez is a Research Professor at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), where they previously managed the Materials Science area. They have served as a Co Editor since 2014 at EPL, focusing on photonic materials, and hold multiple roles on editorial boards for various scientific journals. Cefe was a Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from 1991 to 1993 and completed a postdoctoral research position at the University of Oxford in 1991. They earned a PhD in low dimensional semiconductors from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1989.
