Esther Leal

Esther Leal is a Principal Investigator at CSIC since 2024. They completed their PhD in Veterinary Sciences at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2017, after obtaining a Master's in Aquaculture from Universitat Politècnica de València in 2012 and a Bachelor's in Marine Science from Universidad de Cádiz in 2009. Esther's research experience includes a postdoctoral role at IATS, CSIC and a position at CISA-INIA, where they focused on antiviral and immunostimulant ingredients for aquaculture. Prior to that, they worked at the Torre de la Sal Aquaculture Institute, exploring food intake and stress in fish species.
