Fernando Usera Mena

Fernando Usera Mena is a Doctor in Biological Sciences and a Técnico Superior in Occupational Risk Prevention, specializing in Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Applied Psychosociology. They currently serve as the Head of the Biosecurity Service at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CSIC) and have held this position since 1993. In addition to their role at CSIC, they are an external advisor for the ISCIII working group on the design and construction of the NCB4 laboratory, a member of the National Biosecurity Commission, and serve on the Ethics Committee for research involving biological risk. Fernando is pursuing a Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and holds a Licenciatura, Bachelor's, and Doctorate in Biology from Universidad de Alcalá.
