Isabel Bernal

Isabel Bernal has over 19 years of professional experience in knowledge management within a digital environment, focusing on scholarly communications and international development cooperation. Currently serving as the Services for Open Science and DIGITAL.CSIC Manager at CSIC, they manage the institutional repository that supports open access for over 130 research institutes in Spain. Isabel has previously held roles at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, the European Commission, and EIFL, enhancing their expertise in information and library sciences, scientific publishing, and open research infrastructures. They hold a Master in Library and Information Sciences from Vatican Library School and a M.A. in International Relations and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.
