Javier Portilla

Javier Portilla is a Senior Tenured Scientist at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, specializing in Computational Imaging and Visual Image Processing. They co-founded Imatrics Image Technologies, serving as a Scientific and Technological Consultant from 2006 to 2009. Previously, they worked as a Research Assistant at New York University in Prof. Eero Simoncelli's Computational Vision Lab from 1999 to 2001. Javier also held a position as a Ramón y Cajal contracted assistant professor at Universidad de Granada, where they taught Statistics and Programming and directed doctoral theses. They earned both an Ingeniero de Telecomunicación and a Doctor Ingeniero de Telecomunicación from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
