Marcos Pita

Marcos Pita is a scientific researcher and director at the Instituto de Catálisis y Petrolequímica, CSIC, where they focus on bioelectrochemistry for bioenergy production and biosensing. After completing a PhD in Applied Physical Chemistry at Autonoma University of Madrid, they have held various research positions, including tenure-track roles and management of research groups. Marcos has contributed significantly to the fields of electrochemistry and biocatalysis throughout their career, which spans over two decades. They are currently continuing their research as an Investigador Científico del CSIC.
