Miguel Alcalde is the Founder and Advisor at EvoEnzyme since October 2018 and has been a CSIC Research Professor and Tenured Researcher at the CSIC since November 2015. Previously, Miguel served as a Tenured Scientist at CSIC from 2003 to 2014, and held roles as a Ramón y Cajal Postdoctoral Researcher and I3P Postdoctoral Researcher. From 2001 to 2003, Miguel was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Frances Arnold's laboratory at Caltech. Miguel’s academic journey began at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas from 1994 to 2001 as a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Student, leading to a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1994-1999), a Master's degree in Plant Biology (1993-1994), and a Bachelor's degree in Biology (1988-1993).
