Amy Parker

Director Centre for Earth Observation

Amy Parker is a Director at the CSIRO Centre for Earth Observation, specializing in up- and down-stream Earth Observation with ten years of experience in satellite operations, mission planning, and EO data management. They manage operations for Australia’s first sovereign EO satellite, NovaSAR-1, and lead a Synthetic Aperture Radar science program, establishing strategic projects across various partnerships. Previously, Amy was a Research Fellow at Curtin University and has conducted impactful research on natural hazard monitoring with satellite technology in regions including Australia, Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Amy holds a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Liverpool. They are also an active member of several advisory groups, including the CEOS Working Group on Disasters.
