Brad Evans is a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO, specializing in applied breeding and commercialization of genetic improvements through selection, performance, and pedigree data analysis. They previously served as a Senior Manager of Breeding and Research at Tassal Operations from 2016 to 2023, and as a Research Fellow at James Cook University from 2002 to 2009, where they focused on aquaculture genetics and established a selective breeding program for Silver-lipped pearl oysters. They have also been a Board Member of Select Oyster Company from 2015 to 2021, contributing to the transition of breeding programs for Sydney Rock Oysters. Brad earned a Ph.D. in Aquaculture Genetics from the University of Tasmania in 2002.
