Cintia Iha is a Research Scientist at the Australian National Algae Culture Collection within CSIRO. They hold a Bachelor's and Licentiate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP), completed in 2011, and a Master's degree in Botany, defended in 2014. Cintia obtained a PhD in Biological Sciences at USP in 2018, focusing on the evolution of cytoplasmic genomes in economically significant red algae. They have experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Tasmania and as a Research Scientist at the University of Melbourne. Cintia has developed expertise in high-throughput DNA sequencing and bioinformatics.
