Daniel East is an expert in additive manufacturing and leads a team of over 30 researchers at CSIRO in their Advanced Manufacturing and Metals division. With a PhD in Materials Engineering from Monash University and extensive experience in materials science and production system development, Daniel has worked on innovative projects, including materials solutions for extreme environments. Previously, they served as a visiting researcher at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and held roles as a Research Engineer at CSIRO, where they contributed to significant advancements in magnesium sheet production. Daniel is dedicated to integrating additive manufacturing technology into commercial applications, enhancing innovation and sustainability across various sectors.
