Douglas Bock is the Director of Space and Astronomy and the Australia Telescope National Facility at CSIRO, where they lead efforts in advanced space technologies and contribute to the international SKA project. Since 2016, Douglas has managed significant facilities, including NASA’s Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex and various astronomical observatories in Australia. Prior to joining CSIRO, they served as Project Manager and Assistant Director for the Combined Array for Research in Millimeter-wave Astronomy at UC Berkeley and held roles as Assistant Director for the Radio Astronomy Laboratory and System Scientist for the Allen Telescope Array. Douglas completed a PhD in Physics at the University of Sydney and earned a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors from the same institution.
