Dr. Mark Dunn is a Senior Principal Research Engineer in the Mining Technology Group at CSIRO, where they provide technical and strategic leadership in mining research and commercialization of innovative technologies. They previously served as Research Group Leader at CSIRO, focusing on improving mining recovery and efficiency through various specialized teams. Prior to their role at CSIRO, they worked as a Research Engineer at the National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture, completing significant research projects in machine vision techniques, one of which was featured on the New Inventors TV show. Dr. Dunn holds a PhD in Engineering as well as degrees in Mechatronics and Information Technology from the University of Southern Queensland. Additionally, they are the founder of Landmark Automation Pty Ltd, an AgTech development company.
