Gavin Collis

Gavin Collis is a Principal Research Scientist with extensive experience in electrochemical systems, organic solar cells, and battery recycling. They held various leadership roles at CSIRO from 2017 to 2021, contributing significantly to multiple programs within the organization. Prior to this, Gavin worked as a Co-Project Leader and Project Manager at CRC for Polymers from 2006 to 2011, and served as an Environmental Chemist at AGC Woodward Clyde in 1992-1993. Gavin is currently a Churchill Fellow with the Winston Churchill Trust (Australia), focusing on battery recycling and next-generation battery materials, and has held an Adjunct Associate Professorship at RMIT University from 2016 to 2020. They also completed their BSc with Honours and PhD at the University of Western Australia between 1988 and 1997.
