Gregory Tanyi is a Photonic Research Engineer at CSIRO's Sustainable Mining Technology group since October 2023, focusing on the simulation, design, processing, testing, and development of novel sensor systems within the optics labs. Prior to this role, Gregory worked at Agilent Technologies from 2020 to 2023 as an R&D Researcher specializing in optics for atomic spectroscopy, where customized optical solutions for ICP-OES 5900 instruments were developed and tested. Gregory also held positions as an Electronic Engineer and Researcher in Integrated Photonics at the University of Melbourne, working on projects related to real-time wireless tracking and silicon photonics devices. Gregory holds a Master's degree and a PhD from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Bachelor of Science from the American University of Nigeria.
