Helen McFarlane is the Group Leader of Multidimensional Geoscience within Mineral Resources at CSIRO and a participant in the Superstars of STEM 2025-26 program. Previously, they served as a Senior Research Scientist and a Research Scientist at CSIRO, specializing in structural geology and contributing to multi-disciplinary research across various Australian commodities. Helen also held postdoctoral positions at The University of Western Australia and Monash University, where they focused on tectonic reconstruction and mineralization studies. They earned a PhD in Geology and Geophysics from Monash University and Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, following a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) from Monash University.
