Karsten Michael is a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO, where they lead a research team focused on basin modelling. Previously, they served as a hydrogeologist at the Alberta Geological Survey from 2000 to 2007. Karsten is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at the University of Alberta, and has also obtained a Master's degree in Geology/Earth Science from Technische Universität Berlin.
